One week after defeating Greenfield 3-1 in San Juan Bautista, the Anzar girls soccer team repeated the effort on Tuesday when it traveled south to top the Bruins by the same 3-1 margin.
Lauren Bellone deposited one goal and added an assist for Anzar, which improves to 3-2 overall this season.
Bellone assisted on Michelle Chatley's goal in the 12th minute on Tuesday to put the Hawks up 1-0, then received an assist from Brianna McCain in the 80th minute for a goal that put Anzar up 3-1.
"Winning is always a positive thing," Anzar head coach Carlos Flores said. "It keeps them wanting to move forward, and we're hoping to keep this little thing moving forward."
Chatley's goal in the first half carried the Hawks to a 1-0 halftime lead, while teammate Sydnee Masuen made it a two-goal game in the 58th minute off a free kick.
Greenfield cut the deficit in half in the 77th minute before Bellone's goal later in the game.
"It's a positive outcome for them," Flores said. "As a team, we're very solid - a great group of girls that can play."
Anzar's season has included a 1-0 win over Monte Vista Christian, as well as a 3-1 loss to Watsonville and a 2-0 loss to Pacific Grove.
The Hawks will return on Friday when they will visit Aptos at 5:30 p.m.
