Nearly 500 cyclists pedaled through the county in the Condor Classic Bicycle Ride on Saturday, said Jessica French, president and CEO of the San Benito County Chamber of Commerce.
"It was great," said French. "Everyone had a wonderful time, and it is such a fantastic way to get people to visit our beautiful county."
The inaugural ride benefits the Pinnacles Partnership, an organization that supports projects there to protect and restore park lands. There were four routes: a San Juan Valley ride of 20 miles, the 40-mile Cienega Valley Wine Trail ride, and 100K and 100-mile rides that ended at Pinnacles National Monument. All the routes began at San Juan Oaks.
A booth at the location was run by the Pinnacles Partnership and provided information to the public about the group's projects.
